Freddy came from Zacatecas, Mexico with a simple conviction: that the most nourishing thing a person can offer is a meal made from scratch, with care, for anyone who walks through the door. More than twelve years ago, he opened Taqueria La Familia with his sister, daughter, and son — and not much else beyond great recipes and a big heart.
Today, you'll find just four tables inside and a warm patio when the Colorado sun allows. You'll be greeted with complimentary chips and two kinds of house-made salsa before you even pick up a menu. The food is made fresh every day. Nothing comes from a can that shouldn't. And if Freddy's around, he'll make sure you leave full and happy — that's just how familia works.
